Abortion Services for Out-of-State Visitors in Michigan

Coming from another state for an abortion?

We know abortion is becoming increasingly difficult to access in some parts of the country. Abortion in Michigan is protected and we are ready to help you access the care you need, when you need it.

Michigan USA State Welcome to Highway Road Sign

Since the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe vs Wade, abortion is banned or severely limited in many States. Northland continues to offer both first trimester and second trimester abortions up to 23.6 weeks from your last menstrual period (LMP). If you are 11 weeks pregnant or less, we also offer Medication Abortion which some people prefer because it allows them to complete the process in the comfort of their own home.

Choosing an abortion is never an easy decision, but it is vastly more difficult when you are forced to travel to another state. We offer a safe and caring environment, where all of our patients are treated with dignity and respect they deserve. Our clinics have access to many funds that can help with the cost of travel, hotel arrangements and childcare, if required. Please call us for further details.

We encourage you to discuss and take the time to fully explore your pregnancy decision

Michigan has a 24-hour law, but it does NOT require an in person visit before your abortion appointment. You are able to get the 24-hour information online through a link on our website, or a staff member can help you over the phone when you call to make your appointment.

Our patients are traveling from many states, from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas (and as far away as Texas).
