You may experience spotting a few days after taking the morning after pill. Your first period following Plan B, or other emergency contraceptive methods, may be different than usual: later, earlier or heavier. Your periods should return to normal within two cycles. Repeat pregnancy testing or a pelvic exam is recommended if there is any doubt concerning the general health or pregnancy status of any woman after using emergency contraception.
